Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme has been launched in Azad Kashmir. Chairperson Youth Schemes Miss Maryam Nawaz distributed the cheques among talented and needy students of different universities of AJK today. The ceremony was held at Muzaffarabad today in which President of Azad jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan also accompanied her in the ceremony.
Chairperson Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Maryam Nawaz Sharif was the chief guest of the ceremony. She inaugurated the scheme by distributing cheques among the deserving students at a ceremony in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday. Laptops will also be distributed soon in AJK, in the eligible public sector universities.
This scheme will provide Rs. 85 million to the deserving and talented students of AJK. About 3300 students are the beneficiaries of this scheme in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said Azad Kashmir has share in all youth-related schemes of the Prime Minister. She said the Fee Reimbursement scheme is intended to help student focus their attention on education alone without worrying about financial resources. She also said to apply for Youth Loan Scheme, as it will be better option for those who have completed their studies.
