About four hundred students have been awarded with Prime Minister Fee Reimbursement cheques on Monday, 23rd June 2014. The students belonged to less developed areas of Sindh. General Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Sindh, Saleem Zia, was the chief guest there and distributed the cheques among the students.
The press release issued by Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur (SAUL) states that:
The Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme Ceremony for Less Developed Areas hosted by Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur held at Sukkur IBA. Mr. Saleem Zia, General Secretary, Pakistan Muslim League (N) Sindh was the chef guest on this occasion. Mr. Zia said that this is a special privilege for the less developed areas students for their pursuit of higher education.

Prof Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif university, Khairpur said that youth is the hope and real asset of the country where as education strengthenings political, social and economic foundation of the society.
Prof Dr. Ghulam Raza Bhatti, Member, HRD Division, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad was also present t th distribution ceremony. Mr. Nihal Hashmi Senior Politician, PML (N), was also present and said that the first verse of Holy Quran is IQRA which means read. Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Former, Deputy Speaker National Assembly said that role of the politician is to redress the issues of the people and stressed the cheque recipient students to work hard for the development of the country. He said that this program will benefit the students of less developed areas.
Mr. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, Director, Sukkur IBA extended his vote of thanks to the guests. He stressed the students to incur this amount on research and development.
