950 laptops distributed among Sindh university Jamshoro students
Sindh university Jamshoro students have been awarded with laptops from HEC on 31st October and 1st November 2014. These were given to students of MS, M.Phil and PhD programme. The laptop ceremony continued for two days in which these laptops were given to those post graduate students who had already validated themselves on HEC Student Portal.
According to a press release issued by the university administration, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili and Director Institute of Business Administration Dr. Imamuddin Khoso handed over the laptops to the students in a ceremony held at IBA auditorium of the university.
Beside the university administration, representative from Higher Education Commission, Mr. Naeem Ahmed Bhutto, was also present at the event. Dean Graduate Studies Dr. Saleha Parveen, Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Dr. Azhar Ali Shah and Prof. Ghulam Ali Buriro also participated in the ceremony.
Dr. Khoso said that now students can easily access the online thesis, research papers and electronic books which can add to their studies.
The focal person for the scheme Dr. Imamuddin Khoso told the journalists that the first phase of laptops’ distribution was successfully and transparently over by giving away laptops to a total number of 940 students of M.S/ M.Phil and PhD in two days.
He said that the remnant laptops out of 9530 will be distributed among the students of Masters and Bachelor degree programs in four more phases which will take place turn by turn on receiving the guideline from HEC.
