The World Women Day will be celebrated warmly on 8th March 2015 in Pakistan by remembering the good things done for betterment of women. The government of Punjab has done a lot for the empowerment of the women in society.

There has been 15% job quota in all government sector institutions including at least one female in the committee for recruitment. Earlier, the quota was just 5%. Now it has been increased by 200% to increase the job holder women in government sector.

Women also have the right to transfer of their posting if they get married but are still in contract job.

This year, the theme for World Women Day is “Make it Happen“.

The number of women working all over the world in leading companies have increased much. Now, women have been working on top level of multi national companies all over the world and the same can be seen in Pakistan.

Asma Jahangir, Jahan Ara (President PAHSA), Malala Yusuf Zai, Kalsoom Lakhani (i2i), Naseem Hamid (Sports), Bilqees Edhi (Edhi Foundation) and a number of famous women can be seen working in all sectors.
