Balochistan Ex-Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has expressed his deep desire that Turbat University may transform into an education city like Oxford and Harvard University in future saying that now it is our responsibility to take every possible step to meet the needs and requirements of Turbat University and to teach and guide the students with passion and commitment to bring Turbat University among the top universities of the country.
He was speaking as chief guest in a special ceremony held in Turbat University on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in connection with laptop distribution to first Batch pass out graduates of the university. He has given Rs 5 million grant to UoT for providing laptops to the first batch pass out graduates of the university.
Speaking on the occasion he exhorted on every individuals of the society to contribute at his best for the development of university. He assured to extend all kinds of support for the enhancement of research culture, promotion of quality higher education, making the institution financially self-reliant, and to establish a printing press in Turbat University.
Highlighting the significance of health consciousness he announced an amount of Rs.5 million grants for establishing a gymnasium in University.
In his welcome speech Vice Chancellor Turbat University Prof Abdul Razzak Sabir thanked the ex-chief minister for taking keen interest in expansion of Turbat University and creating an environment for promotion of quality higher education in this part of country, adding that first convocation of university will be held in its newly built permanent complex in October this year.
