Lahore: The Government of Punjab has launched a dedicated web portal for the missing children of Punjab. The step has been taken as the incidents of missing children witnessed a sharp rise in the past few weeks.
Any person can contact the Missing Children Recovery helpline 1121 from PTCL / Mobile service. The call will be received by Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Punjab.
Missing children can be reported through this number. Furthermore, the data of all such children who have been found by Punjab Police and Child Protection and Welfare Bureau from various places have been put online.
Original National Identity Card, Certified Birth Certificate of children and one witness is required to get the child back from Government’s department.
Details of more than 150 children is available online which can be accessed anytime. The children recovered so far and have not been handed over to their parents have been given in detail including name of child, father name, district and recovery date.
